The Organizer

  • The organizer of the Ultimate Gold Cup Hamper Competition (the “Competition”) is the owner of the website https://cheltenhamguides.com/ (the ‘’Website’’):

Better Collective SAS, 42 rue de Maubeuge, 75009 Paris, 524 179 090 RCS Paris.

Start and Closing Date

  • The Competition starts on 19/02/2021.
  • The Competition ends on 28/02/2021.

Eligibility

  • In order to participate in the Competition organised by the Website (the “Organizer” “we”, “us”, “our”), the participant (he/she) must be over 18 years old.
  • Participants must reside in the UK at the moment of participation in the Competition.
  • Participant’s location/home address in the UK must be accessible by horse. This is for the purpose of delivering the award to the winner, as the Organizer will deliver the award in person by one of the award winning Cheltenham race horses, in the spirit of this Competition.
  • By taking part in the Competition, participants must fill in their personal data in the registration form, consent to the Competition Rules and the Privacy Policy both posted on the website https://cheltenhamguides.com/. 
  • Employees and freelancers hired by the Organizer or any of its subsidiaries, directly or through intermediary companies, are not allowed to participate in the Competition.

How to participate

  • Participating in the Competition is completely free of charge. 
  • Each participant can participate only once.
  • The participants should respond correctly to a series of general knowledge and a guessing question related to the Cheltenham Festival. 
  • The participants will be asked to provide his/her name, surname and email address during registration for participation in the Competition.

Determining the winner

  • Only 1 (one) winner will be picked from all the participants, based on their answers.
  • The winner of the Competition must answer correctly to all the general knowledge questions from the quiz. The quiz includes 2 (two) general knowledge questions and 1 (one) guessing question. Only general knowledge questions’ answers will be taken into consideration in the initial determination of the winner by the Organizer’s administration. 
  • In case multiple participants have answered correctly to all general knowledge questions, the participant whose response to a guessing question was the most accurate, will be determined as an overall winner of the Competition.
  • In case multiple participants have answered correctly to all general knowledge questions and had identically accurate responses to a guessing question, the Organizer shall randomly draw the overall winner of the Competition from those participants. 

Prizes

  • The participant who responded correctly to all general knowledge questions and was the closest with his response to the guessing question shall be the overall winner of the Competition.
  • The winner will receive a hamper with the following content:
  • 2 x tickets for 2022 Cheltenham Gold Cup scheduled on March 18, 2022;
  • 1 x hamper basket;
  • 1 x candle;
  • 1 x package of Guinness crisps chocolate;
  • Cheltenham racecourse grass;
  • A card with tips for the Cheltenham competition;
  • Tweed PJ bottoms;
  • Card with the sound of the Cheltenham roar;
  • Non-alcoholic champagne;
  • Food for a fry-up;
  • Sweets & afternoon tea;
  • Signed photo of a Coneygree Gold Cup horse by its trainer.

 

  • The Organizer shall contact the user via email in order to arrange the handing over of the prize no later than 48 hours after the Competition has ended and the participant is selected for the prize.
  • The prize will be delivered to the winner by the sponsor of this Competition, which  is Good Man Communications LTD company, trading as Press Box PR The Coach House, The Square, Sawbridgeworth CM21 9AE, United Kingdom, Company Number: 11454923 (the “PressBox PR”).
  • The Organizer will align on the prize delivery details with the PressBox PR administration and duly organize the handing over of the earned prize in a maximum of 30 days since settling and verifying the winner.
  • PressBox PR administration will deliver the award to the winner to his location/home address via one of the award winning Cheltenham race horses.
  • PressBox PR shall in any case provide the 2 x Cheltenham Gold Cup 2022 tickets to the winners of the Competition, but shall not be held responsible if the winner is objectively prevented from attending the Cheltenham Gold Cup 2022 in case the official organiser of the Cheltenham Festival the Jockey Club prohibits or limits the spectators from attending the race on 18 March, 2022 due to the government’s coronavirus (covid-19) restrictions.
  • PressBox PR might ask the winner to take photograph(s) of him/her during the delivery of the award and ask for their consent for the image to be shared with the media partners’ & published in the press, for the purpose of media coverage of the Competition. If the winner consents to such a request, the image shall be used only for administering the promotion of the Competition and for no other purpose.
  • The prize is not taxable in the UK. 
  • The prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable and no cash alternative is offered.
  • The first name and the county of the prizewinner will be published on the website. Players will be given the opportunity to object to their information being published by sending an email at earnedmedia@bettercollective.com.

Personal data  

  • The Organiser is a data controller which will process the personal data of the participants in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
  • By participating in the Competition, the participants declare that they agree with processing of the following personal data: first name, surname and email address.
  • We may publish the name and the surname of the winner on our Website in order to contribute to transparency of the competition, and to comply with the UK advertising-related legislations and recommendations published by the UK Advertising Standards Authority. 
  • The winner will be asked to share his/her phone number and home address in order to receive the prize. We will keep this information in a secure and confidential manner and for as long as needed to process the transfer of the prize. 
  • The winner will be asked for a copy of its national ID or copy of its passport during the delivery of the prize. This is required for the purpose of ensuring that the winner has satisfied legislative requirements regarding threshold age for participating in this Competition.

Breach of Rules

General clause

  • If a participant violates Competition rules, he/she will be sanctioned at Organizer’s sole discretion.
  • Sanctions include disqualification from Competition, temporary bans for participation and in certain circumstances permanent blocking from accessing the Competition. 
  • The extent of a sanction is determined by the severity of the offence and if the participant is a repeat offender. Cases are judged on individual merit and decisions made by the Organizer are final and should be respected.

Complaints

  • Any issues or doubts which have no clear guidelines in the above rules will be dealt with at the discretion of the Organizer’s administration. 

If a participant wishes to contest some of the Organizer’s decisions, he/she can do so by sending an email to earnedmedia@bettercollective.com.

  • Any legal disputes that may arise are subject to Law of the United Kingdom and will be settled by the competent courts of England and Wales.

We reserve the right to make changes to the rules of the competition at our sole discretion, and will inform the participants of any significant changes by posting these changes on the website.
